Your scripture reading is personal. Scriptura is designed to keep it that way.
Inside the Scriptura app
No account or sign-in is needed. Scripture search and Answer Focus run on your device; your search questions are not sent to an online AI service.
Your notes, highlights, bookmarks and Trails are stored locally. What a Trail learns stays on your device. You can choose to export or share passages and study material, or make your own backup in Settings.
Downloads and offline use
Setup downloads scripture text, search data and the models you choose. These packs can take several gigabytes; the app shows their sizes. Downloads and update checks need internet access. Once the required packs are installed, reading, search and Answer Focus work offline.
The app obtains data packs from its public download host and checks GitHub for app releases. These connections are separate from your local scripture searches.
This website
The download buttons take you to GitHub. This website also requests public release information from GitHub to display the latest app version. Those visits and requests are handled by the respective hosting services.
The interactive search and Answer Focus illustrations on the home page run in your browser. They do not send scripture queries or change settings in your installed app.
When you contact us
The contact form sends the information you enter to Scriptura Labs through our email delivery service so we can reply. We use your details to answer your message, not to add you to a mailing list.
Name and email are requested for replies. Country and app and device details are optional. The form asks for your consent before sending.
